ROSEHIP SEED OIL (COLD PRESSED)
Rosehip seed oil, also know as Rosehip oil, is derived from the rosa canina rose bush (fruits and seeds), growing mostly in Chile. It is well renowned and valuable ingredient used from the ancient times, due to its skin-nourishing properties. Rosehip oil is mostly precious for it’s high content of regenerative essential fatty acids: linoleic and alpha-linolenic acid. It is also rich in vitamin A derivative, vitamins B1, B2, B3 and K, carotenoids with antioxidative properties and phenols that have been shown to have antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. All that give the rosehip oil unique regenerative and healing properties.
Rosehip seed oil is recommended for the care of irritated, sensitive and mature skin. It is a powerful moisturizer and emollient – it softens the skin and improves the barrier function. It is clinically proven to increases collagen production and skin elasticity after 8 weeks of usage. It works perfectly for acne prone skins, which are – according to the research – deficient in rosehip oil’s specific fatty acid and its topical application can reduce the size of blemishes. It calms inflammation, linoleic acid has also been found to brighten, even out skin tone and help treat hyperpigmentation.
