RHODIOLA ROSEA ROOT EXTRACT
Rhodiola rosea root extract, also known as arctic root or golden root extract, belongs to the family of Crassulaceae. It grows in the Arctic latitudes and northern mountainous regions of Europe and Asia. Rhodiola’s roots and rhizomes are the parts used for the production of the extract.
Containing more than 140 active ingredients, with the most potent: rosavins (Rosavin, Rosin and Rosarin), flavonoids and chlorogenic acids, it was used for centuries in European and Asiatic traditional medicine to treat anxiety, fatigue and depression. Modern research confirmed rhodiola rosea increases the body’s resistance to any type of stress by regulating the hormonal response.
Rhodiola rosea is clinically proven to stimulate the production of ß-endorphins in the skin (raising the ß-endorphins level in skin more than 4 times!) . It induces ß-endorphin biosynthesis by stimulating central and peripheral receptors, not only providing the well-being sensation of the skin, but also improving general mood and physical condition, in pain relief, reducing stress, strengthening the immune system and producing euphoria.
Arctic root visibly improves the appearance of the skin. Its antioxidant properties protect against free radicals-induced damage. Other skin care applications are: anti-stress, relaxation, well-being, anti-aging.
